Sarah and Justin knew they wanted an outdoor ceremony with a tented reception. After viewing several venues in Southern New Hampshire, the couple chose the Mile Away Restaurant in Milford. After the owners, Kevin and Sandy, showed Sarah and Justin the property with the gardens and waterfront area, they knew the location was a perfect fit. The food ended up being a big hit with the guests, as well. They continue to rave about it to the couple!
During the ceremony, Sarah and Justin used a Celtic Oathing Stone during their vows. It is a tradition used in Ireland and Scotland, and is the origin of the term “set in stone”. It is believed that the couples’ vows were so strong, that they were cast into stone. The stone is now part of the couple's home along with wedding photos. The couple presented favors of homemade jam they had made during the summer before the wedding using Justin's Mother's recipe.
