Katerina and Bruce’s ceremony and reception took place at Laudholm Farm on the Wells Reserve in Wells, Maine. Upon their first visit to the historic farmstead, they knew it was the perfect location for their special day. It was near the ocean and had a rustic feel they loved.
The wedding incorporated aspects of Katerina’s Russian heritage. The ceremony was presented in both English and Russian. Guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres that were also Russian inspired.
The reception took place in the barn where a stunning row of tables ran the length of the building from one end to the other.
Katerina said that one of her favorite parts of the wedding was having a DJ to emcee the wedding. He kept the celebration lively, speaking in both English and Russian. By the end of the night, everyone knew how to say “Cheers!” in Russian. Guests also enjoyed dancing to Russian songs late into the night.
